Year 8 Design and Built Environment Evening 2016 Posted: 2/03/16

On February 11 we celebrated the curiosity, creativity and research skills that our Year 8s had shown in their independently produced Design and the Built Environment projects.

On February 11 we celebrated the curiosity, creativity and research skills that our Year 8s had shown in their independently produced Design and the Built Environment projects.  There were some fascinating learning questions chosen by the students, including:

  • How are skyscrapers built?
  • Buildings that defy gravity
  • How does the Wimbledon roof work?
  • What is the traditional building style of Ghana?
  • How can the architecture of museums inspire?

There were several shortlisted students and four prize winners on the evening.
