  • Leadership in the Wren Sixth Form

    One of the Academy's key aims is to provide all of our Sixth Form students with a range of leadership experiences by the time they leave the school.  As most of our Sixth Form students go on to take degrees at leading universities, it is likely that within a few years they will be taking up jobs which have leadership responsibilities attached to them.  If the school can help prepare our students so that these responsibilities are easier for them to assume then so much the better.

  • Sixth Form

    We are now in the fourth week of having a sixth form at the Academy and it has been a rewarding and very interesting experience so far. We ended up with over 100 young people deciding to join our Year 12.  This was a very pleasing number for the first ever year of sixth form.  Most of these students came from Wren's Year 11 last year, though a pleasing number have joined us from other schools. The first few weeks of term have provided us with a lot of satisfaction in the start the sixth formers have made.  Most obviously, they look great (and hopefully feel it too) in their smart business wear.  Our students stand out in the Academy and in the surrounding community for the right reasons.
