    Wren Academy is a world class school.  I know this to be true because we have a plaque to prove it. I imagine that few people will be convinced by the justification above but the fact remains that for the past 18 months Wren has possessed the designation ' World Class School'.

  • Showing some resolution

    Only five days into 2015 and, according to the radio this evening, New Year spirit is fast evaporating.  Many listeners feel it is already far too late to be wishing people a happy New Year if you are meeting them for the first time in 2015.  The normal 'hello' or 'how are you?' are quite enough now.

  • Aspirations and Values

    During the term ahead we will be looking again at our aspirations for Wren students.  It is central to a school's success that it is ambitious for its students, clear about the forms that ambition takes and well organised in putting into place a range of activities which will enable young people to undergo new experiences and to think and learn as a result of them.  It is also very important that a school's aspirations for its students are wide ranging and not narrowly focussed upon academic achievement alone.  We believe that schools must set out to help their students develop attitudes and skills which will serve them well throughout their lives.
