Visit to Cambridge University

During half term I was invited to visit the veterinary department at Cambridge University with Dr David Bainbridge because I was a joint winner of the World Class Schools essay competition.  The other two winners and I spent the morning in a first years’ dissection workshop. It was interesting to find out about the course, the students that attend the university and the anatomy of the dog thorax. After lunch we talked about the application process for universities and Cambridge in particular and then went to look at the History of Science Museum where there was an old electron microscope. The day helped me to think about my options for the future.
