We are pleased to announce that Transport for London (TfL) have confirmed that Wren’s School Travel Plan has been awarded the top level of GOLD STARS (Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe).  STARS is an accreditation scheme for schools to inspire young Londoners to travel sustainably, actively, responsibly and safely. A ‘Gold’ school demonstrates the highest level of participation and involvement, where active travel activities are engrained as part of the whole school’s culture.

This is the highest level awarded and a level up from our Silver accreditation from last year.

Many congratulations to our Youth Travel Ambassadors (YTA) who worked extremely hard during our weekly enrichment sessions by leading the many projects and activities that supported this accreditation.

The knowledge they have gained and shared, highlighting responsible behaviour on public transport, will be utilised in future school assemblies and in presentations.

The YTA have been invited to Camden Centre in October to attend the award ceremony and collect the accredited Gold star. The ceremony is a great opportunity to establish network groups with other London schools as well as exchange ideas and experiences from previous projects.
