Pupil Premium Award winner 2016 Posted: 5/02/16

Wren is recognised as one of the highest achieving schools in the country in terms of the attainment and progress of disadvantaged students.

We are delighted to announce that Wren Academy has won a local award in the key stage 4 Pupil Premium Awards. This is due to the Academy being one of the highest achieving schools in the country in terms of the attainment and progress of disadvantaged students.

We actively focus on closing the gap between our disadvantaged students and the rest of the cohort and a letter we received from Sam Gyimah MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Childcare and Education, today clearly recognises the fantastic job we do with these students:

“It is clear that you and your staff have provided your disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life and prepared them well for further study, training or employment. I would like to congratulate your governors, parents and pupils for their hard work and success, and thank you for your leadership in making such a difference to the future success of your pupils.”

We are extremely grateful to the Wren community for the contribution they have made to ensure that our disadvantaged students achieve the very best outcomes and make outstanding progress. We will continue with our efforts and relentless search for ways of achieving even better results for all our students.
